church day! -scribbled on Sunday, December 28, 2008
| Once upon a time... today was g-r-e-a-t; great! although i had to wake up at 8am in the morning, and the situation looked kinda bleak, (why? because i saw only 4 cell group members and i though "how the hell are we going to play captain's ball with 5 people?") but we met up with the other cell group somewhere further up, and slowly, the latecomers slowly packed behind us as we were walking to the park, somewhere around the interchange street soccer court. as we got there, i was still fumbling with the rules. a ping pong ball? o.o a volleyball as well? oh, so the game was to be played concurrently with BOTH a pingpong and volleyball. the point system changes after every interval so scoring the pingpong might give you more points this round but next round might lead to the team's defeat.
with these in mind and arms ready to play, we formed teams by drawing lots. boys and girls evenly. guess who was the organiser? that cocky girl. i was like omg, but oh well... i was supposed to play attacker, but in less than 10 minutes i was swapped to defender haha. i TOLD YOU GUYS, i told you. so i was better at jumping and hitting the shit outta other people's hands lol. the moment i got out to pick a ball, someone would shoot and i'd get blamed slightly. c'mon guys its just a game. i think no one likes to hear the in-betweens anyway, i'll skip it. hold your horses! something happened during the game: i tried jumping this high and my specs flew off, and fell on the floor. the poor thing got stepped by someone whom i COULDNT SEE and when i picked it up, the string which holds my lens to the frame got torn and the right lens GOT CHIPPED. that was enough to screw my day up!! and to think i still had to go to church later on.... ><
so at church i was squinting and straining so hard to see the lyrics during worship, and when i thought it couldnt be worse, they showed A VIDEO. omg! hadn't i suffered enough?? that forced me to use the unattached lens on one hand to sneek as much as i could see.
DAMN. i now understand how important our sight is to us... one day without specs is like hell. the world seems so blur and dim to me that the only faces i can see are blanks, like animated stick men. *angry.
unable to withstand the torment any longer. i knew i HAD to repair this little tool for my eyes, to see the light (no pun intended). went down to simei eastpoint: emperor optics (since i got it from there, they would know how to fix it real fast) in less than 15 minutes. weirdest thing ever, the lady told me they would need some time to repair it, and asked me to TAKE A WALK AND WINDOW-SHOP. seriously, LOL. the worst thing is; I TRIED. and i couldnt see a damn thing! i went to giordano and tried to look for berms but i realised soon that they were displaying mostly LADIES stuff. and i went to IPZONE and tried to look at jeans but they looked all the same to me! i couldnt even tell the black from blue colours. last resort, i went back in and asked if i could sit down and wait. phew.
10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1... and it was done! i even had the guy adjust every little minor detail like the looseness and etc.
okay off with the nonsensical details. its boring to read them anyway. but this is just a online web log so i dont care! i ate nice tofu for dinner + omelette + veg/mushies + bubble tea from 'that mini cafe' because yumyum was closed unfortunately. i have to wake up at seven tomorrow so i gottta sleep right now and goodnight, and adios. approved by awesam | 11:05 PM
